Grief often comes in waves—unexpected and powerful. It can be stirred by something as small as a smell, a song, a photo, or a holiday tradition once shared with someone you deeply miss.

As the holiday season approaches, many of us feel the bittersweet weight of grief more intensely. These are moments meant for laughter, warmth, and togetherness—but when someone we love is no longer here, joy can feel out of reach. It’s not that you don’t want to celebrate, but sorrow may be walking alongside you this season.

Perhaps the person who brought you a sense of home and comfort is no longer physically present. In those moments, we want you to know: you are not alone. At OSO Wellness, we are holding space for you, and we care.

Here are a few gentle tips to help you cope during this emotional time:

  • Let the tears come. It’s okay to cry. Emotional expression is part of the healing process.

  • Honor your loved one. Find a comforting way to remember them—light a candle, share a story, or prepare a dish they loved.

  • Lean on your support system. Surround yourself with people who understand and respect your need for comfort and care.

  • Give yourself grace. There is no timeline for grief. However you feel is valid.

  • Care for your body. Make space for rest, nourishment, and self-compassion.

If this season feels heavier than usual, know that support is here. At OSO Wellness, we are here to walk alongside you in your healing—during the holidays and beyond.

Wishing you peace, comfort, and gentle moments of care.
