Our Team
Keith Engel, LCSW, BCD
“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” – Carl Jung
Keith is a grounded, relational therapist who believes that healing begins when people are met with honesty, respect, and the freedom to grow into who they were meant to be. He draws from a rich background as a retired U.S. Navy Officer and social worker, where his leadership was built on service, equity, and an unwavering commitment to people over systems.

His approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, with a focus on how life experiences — particularly early family dynamics — shape our inner worlds. He is trained in and draws from a range of evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and gender-affirming therapy. He also integrates strength-based and emotion-focused techniques that are particularly effective in men’s mental health, supporting clients in navigating identity, relationships, and high-functioning distress. Whether working through trauma, stress, or sexuality, his approach blends practical tools with deep self-exploration to help clients move forward with greater clarity and intention.
Keith’s clinical lens is shaped by a family identity marked by strong voices, complex roles, and deeply held values. Raised in a family where resilience was the norm and communication was unapologetically honest, he developed a deep understanding of how intergenerational patterns influence emotional health. These lessons — sometimes hard-earned — now inform his work with others navigating their own identity, relationships, and healing.
He is especially passionate about men’s mental health, veteran care, and sexual and gender-diverse communities, offering a space that’s both affirming and real — where clients don’t have to filter their story. As the founder of OSO Wellness, Keith created a practice grounded in the biopsychosocial model, recognizing that true healing happens at the intersection of body, mind, environment, and history.
